and shows you here what this looks like in reality, let's just start with how we charge the battery, this is basically done by this device here, it's a very simple charge controller that is only connected to the tv tv, i.e. to the pv modules and this is a very cheap npower mister charge controller from china, it is very cheap and can handle practically all common battery voltages, i.e. 12, 24, 36 and 48 volts, it can even handle relatively high pv voltages and it doesn’t cost much, the maximum output is said to be more than 60 amps at 2.8 kilowatts, but I strongly advise against loading this part completely, so from various experience reports I now know at least about this special charge controller, this tree is that the part can be loaded to a maximum of 40 amps and that is only possible if you have additional cooling installs the thermal design of this thing is just not good and the specs on it are exaggerated so please be careful here be ig if you use this charge controller, there are also charge controllers from ipa and so on, they are a bit cheaper, so they are better and also cheap, so I can only recommend I use the thing myself more to check the performance of a pv module or something or for such experiments because I just have the part lying here and want to use it as I said these things are not wrong either charge the battery and then offer a 230 volt connection, which is then not connected to the grid. absolutely everything is conceivable, so I can make any mess you actually want, how it works here, here are the pv modules, which are easy to do now to the charge controller and the charge controller letters the battery so that's it so more does the battery to the controller basically not in in my case it's a 48 volt lithium iron phosphate battery with roughly one kilowatt hour and we currently have 2 370 sws pv modules connected in series and connected the 2 so that i can get the corresponding pv voltage of at least 72 volts for the power mister i'm you here is a table again 1 for how many do you want, so to speak, which minimum voltage is required here are even two you still have a little but it is just enough for a 24 meter 12 volt battery, of course the required voltage is reduced as I said here the table says again for you to move up that only applies to this charge controller and you will surely ask yourselves how can I put together a small battery cheaply the things that can be purchased are very very expensive and it is actually not that easy and that is why I will talk about it also soon to make their own episode and introduce you to the solution that is known to me, yes, the heart of it, that's the crass thing actually this is what makes the thing so interesting this is the so-called d cdc the big challenge was actually how do i get the power from the battery into my house network and that can be regulated so i just want to be able to set how many watts the battery feeds into my house and that is best done with a computer or raspberry pi so here is eg a computer that is doing exactly that at the moment and that can be done with this awesome device here this is a practical dpm 8624 with an rs485 interface that means i can connect the part to mine via usb connect the pc or in rasberg ii we hang the battery practically here at the input so it goes to the input again here in between a small fuse and the output of the device it now goes to the normal micro inverter so really that micro inverter of a perfectly normal balcony solar system see that the thief ev just goes in there so we're practically pretending that this dpm 8624 is a pv mo dule so we simulate a pv module inverter swallows that actually feeds under micro inverter and practically what i'm saying here so i'm saying volts and voltages somehow i specify and so can't set the wattage that he then really welds into my house network and I will now show you again here as an example, so I will show you here how I set it here and you will then also see my energy meter from tas motor, so to speak, then you can see how it reacts, so that's pretty cool, it really worked Great and of course I can automate the whole thing now, so I can now also write a script that we always set the current to match the current consumption, of course only as long as it is below this 600 watts, so there or between the wattage of my pv modules or micro inverters then the device itself can be the dcd sc were a test system was at a maximum of 1400 watts which I have now built here does not quite run up to 600 watts the cabling is not good as I said this is also just an experiment and it will be dismantled immediately after the shoot because the large inverter from mpp solar.de is not downstairs so my big one real inverter usually that for me everything that means i don't need it personally it's really only for you now yes i'm turning on the electricity meter again so i've always written a very small example script and you can a pv to the micro inverter module, i.e. connect a second pv module to the input and then feed it in constantly, for example, but you should then make sure that the maximum power of the inverter is not exceeded and that there are really two separate inputs, so if in doubt, leave it at the micro-inverter, yes the next important question is how can i now control how much food i actually eat optimally you should always feed in as much as you are consuming at the moment so the rest is stored in the battery and can then be used in the evening that's the trick of the the thing is that you maximize your own consumption when the battery is full at some point you can simply feed it in continuously the energy is lost but that can all be regulated wonderfully here with this system to be able to do that we just don’t have the info how is my current consumption high right now so that I can regulate it and that you can do something like that with the so-called census meter that's actually pretty cool, the newer electricity meters usually have an ultramodern infrared interface and you can read them out with a head like this, but you have to be careful here because you have to activate the cell first, i.e. the infrared activate the interface first and how you do it it can be easy i wouldn't say now but you have to call the network operator to ask for a code and now hold on tight enter the code success with a flashlight it's no shit with one of those kind of morse code yes super modern it's a miracle that we don't have to submit it in paper form or by fax it's really awesome but that's done there you can use a small raspberry pi zero or the reading head under free census software to read what you are currently using the data you can then send it to the central raspberry via mrt or something similar and they can do it ung of the cdc converter then speaking and always on what you practically currently consume that doesn't work immediately of course it takes a little moment until it sets that but on the whole it works really well so I've tried it here with my system and that works on which phase you feed one with this micro-inverter it really doesn’t matter because the narrator always sums up all the phases yes, at least in purely mathematical terms, there is practically no difference on which phase you feed in it’s just very mains the problem you actually have not at all the volks thailand he doesn’t necessarily need the interface you can, for example, simply control your consumption constantly or say a bit more at the time for example in the morning for breakfast or for dinner and constant during the day or something like that of course that’s also possible because it’s your creativity almost no limits set important is a It's just that everything is possible and you can control it yourself as it makes sense for you and how much you want it.
Of course, the big question now is how much do the parts cost and where can I get them here compared to normal balcony solar, you still need them, of course an additional charge controller on the other hand, for example this slope or such a device and that battery voltage, the prices are very different than the parts are also available from the gwl, for example, they are relatively more trustworthy exhausted so I now find them more trustworthy than aliexpress but they are a bit more expensive let's say about 100 euros for the simple charge controller about 80 euros for the dpm the cdc converter and in the case of a 600 watt system the dpm 8 6 1 6 would also be completely sufficient it can get a maximum of 900 60 watts but five euros more and the more powerful version with 1440 watt output okay then it's roughly 180 for the additional electronics so on the normal balcony solar system on top of that well and of course you also need a small battery that is relatively important otherwise it doesn't make any sense if I do the math and come up with a sensible battery size for most people I think around 500 watts if it's worth it at all and i will bring you the exact calculation again in one of the next episodes i will show you because it is actually worth it the cheapest subscription option i could find is a good 150 euros for the 105 100 watt hour battery i will also do something about this soon I said a sequence so how can I assemble such a battery in total we then come to 330 to 350 euros more if this really wants to be kept cheap yes there are of course other possibilities because I am probably not the first one who came up with this idea so if you finally solved it or something and feel free to write me about your experiences I find it super interesting what I don't have the system yet s o been in use for a long time so who is that super exciting there are of course still a few other channels and also members in our forum who even have a few other cool solutions ready I don’t want to withhold them from you either what else in the forum for example stefan has presented a very interesting possibility of how to solve this feed problem with the battery he then uses this aliexpress krizaj inverter with limiter which unfortunately is very difficult to get at the moment the link is below but then there is the youtube channel solar system which also has it very interesting solution uses a very simple relay to switch the whole thing back and forth almost all the time, so that works too, it works very simply, but also take a look at it, I actually thought it was very nice and maybe for some it was a very good option, why not if you like my or our work then you will find a paypal link below you can kinda leave us a small amount of support for the coffee fund we're really happy everything was so we can remain independent and do such experiments sometimes that's pretty cool so thank you for what I've shown you here that we're now doing a test set up an experiment and whether all this is allowed and so on i don't know yes i'll show you here only a technical solution you can do it like this it's an experiment i use it myself but actually not but a large inverter below that regulates everything and for me something like that is not necessary yes, so if you somehow want to do it yourself then he does it at his own risk and please inform yourself properly and first check whether this is even allowed as I said I don’t know because I’m not an expert then bring it I now have two more videos about when it's worth it and how to get your cheap battery together, as I've already said, you don't usually know much thanks for watching and see you next time
