Game Theory: Don't BREATHE! (Poppy Playtime Chapter 3)
There is nothing more gratifying for my soul than being the reason for a theoretical smile, being the one that inspires creativity and critical thinking, that is why it is with great pleasure that I announce a new
theory
, a theory
based on the poppy
playtime
chapter
3 teaser trailer because While this trailer may seem vague and unspecific, it reveals even more of the horrifying experiments that took place within the game
time. This theory
may terrify and unsettle all theorists who choose to click on hello the internet welcome to game
theory
the show that encourages you to wake up get up and smell the poppies and i mean that literally folks because today we are going to dive in again in the playtime
world of poppies, which has been suspiciously quiet since the release of chapter
2 in may and then all of a sudden, out of the blue, we got this little surprise last week, a trailer for chapter
3 coming out according to the video sometime next year and let me tell you guys if you haven't. seen this sneak peek but it gets dark it begins with a slow pan of the toys we've already beaten huggy woogie lying on the floor mommy long legs torn in muscles dinosaur head for some reason all while listening to elliot ludwig founder of playtime
co giving An ad about Playtime
Care, the adoption initiative Playtime
Co is starting, claims that Playtime
owes everything to these kids and then the trailer ends as the camera pans up to reveal a gas mask-looking creepy as the sounds of applause from the audience mixes with the horrible screams of the kids yes this is a video game
kids are going to play they clearly put in effort for this one the trailer for chapter
2 was a creepy kid singing itsy bitsy spider in a classic minor key horror trope, but there's something about the sound of kids screaming that hits differently and comes from a guy who talks about dead kids a lot more often than a person probably should, however behind those scr eams is what we're really looking for for the story of a few episodes now we suspect playtime
was using the kids to make it these living toys will breathe
and bleed and now the founder of the company says openly that we owe everything to these children.![game theory don t breathe poppy playtime chapter 3]()
I'm thinking he means that literally, but there's a lot more here than just suggestions of past
theory
. I suspect there's enough content in this minute to get an idea of most of what Chapter
3 will reveal to us starting in the next one. big bad toy we'll be facing perhaps the most disturbing story fall to ever happen so let's take another slide into the depths of elliot ludwig's monster factory probably the best place to start is tackling the severed dinosaur head in the room in my live reaction to the teaser on gt live where you'll notice I'm wearing a new star theory
by the way the link for that is below this video if you're interested in that cute long sleeve shirt or know maybe one awesome futuristic backpack or shoulder bag just in time for the new school year let me tell you these are the perfect size for whatever killer toy you want to shove in there or maybe just a pack of our new click bait green playing cards i promise they wont charge life and they'll chase you through the ventilation system anyway, where was I again?![game theory don t breathe poppy playtime chapter 3]()
Sorry pushing the merch got me confused oh yeah in my reaction seeing Braun the dinosaur here immediately set off some theoretical alarm bells. dinosaur what is that brawn braun the brawn bron the dinosaur his appearance here seems very intentional the trailer opens with a pan of the remains of our first two bosses and then we land on him implying that he will be our big villain for
chapter
three this feels especially true when you consider that the rest of the lesser characters from earlier chapter
s like pugapillar and bunzo appear behind the gas mask at the end of the trailer if we believe this reason to re-set here seems to indicate that chapter
one , the boss, hugs, chapter
two, chapter
three, so Braun is going to be the boss or something like the big villain of chapter
3.![game theory don t breathe poppy playtime chapter 3]()
It's also worth noting that the gas mask in the finale of the sneak peek is red. and yellow, exactly like the color palette of the Braun dinosaur. No other toy we've been introduced to at this point matches that color, so it seems like an odd coincidence as he's again trying to hint at the importance of the bronze in this. the next
chapter
and then you yourself have the cardboard cutouts throughout chapter
2 you will find these cardboard cutouts of the various game
timecode characters scattered all over the map if you press the buttons multiple times they say various phrases some some of them harmless some of them disturbing you need to get out of here just kidding have fun and if you keep pushing most of them will end as disasters.![game theory don t breathe poppy playtime chapter 3]()
Now, I have to be honest when I first saw these things that I really want. I had to make a
theory
just on these cardboard cutouts hoping there was some kind of knowledge hidden within the faulty audio like it was the perfect place to hide knowledge the perfect place to hide some mafia game
s wink wink nudge nudge tried to switch pitch invert audio spectrograms basically everything i could come up with you know what i dont have maybe something will happen in chapter
three who knows mob game
s but that doesnt necessarily mean they were totally useless because brawn it really gives us something interesting. information by pressing his cut button once we have a setup for a joke do you call a dino with one eye then press it again we get the joke uh do you think he saw us clap slow braun clap slow thats the kind of humor that gets me has kept youtube alive for the past decade yet keep pressing the button and you get this what do you call the scariest dinosaur ever? braun directly tells us that it is a scary dinosaur, the other toy cutouts even the ones that try to kill us within this very chapter
are not that obvious, some of them have ominous lines, but none of them openly warn us about how scary they can be So in short all signs point to braun being the toy we're going up against next so I don't think so I suspect this could be a huge mistake by mafia game
s I think it's theoretical bait , it's meant to interest little theorists like me on the hook and then lured and served on a plate, you see, this isn't the first time we've had braun pushed into the spotlight only to be relegated as a mere character in the background when the chapter
finally comes out completely.![game theory don t breathe poppy playtime chapter 3]()
In the first trailer for
Poppy
Playtime
there's a wonderful shot of a giant muscle toy whose head suddenly turns on its own and reveals his cold dead eyes and then the episode came out and he was a poster cool cool cool he reappears in chapter
two. but then again he's nothing more than a prop in a puzzle sequence and also from a business perspective it just doesn't make sense for Brawn to star in chapter
three. Going back to a character that has been around since the beginning, he loses a lot of the hype of a big teaser reveal and they lose not only the hype but a good marketing opportunity as well.![game theory don t breathe poppy playtime chapter 3]()
People have loved the Braun Catbey and all the other toys since
chapter
one. opportunity for new characters which means more new merchandise and the latest thing about this is the strength of mob game
s really seems to be bendable characters things that bend feel softer or rubberier i mean kissy missy, try to hit this switch in the middle of chapter
two is not only hilarious but also shows the strength of team animation of softer fluffy characters, its a great and welcome departure from the monster designs of certain other chise indie franchise that dominated the scene for the last eight years ron is tough is heavy is robotic again moving away from the monster aesthetic that has worked so well for poppy
playtime
up to this point so call it a hunch from the last decade to do this but I don't.I don't think force is our great evil. I think they'll reveal more about our big bad in October or November as they get closer to next year's release, but hey, that's just a
theory
, a mini theory
that exists within this larger theory
. 'Cause I'm not done with this sneak peek, but if I'm going to keep revealing the big story drop that I expect to happen in chapter
three, I'm going to need you to do one thing for me right now and that's hit that subscribe button you know i know a lot about youtube ok here's a little known fact about how it works your subscribe button clicks actually end up in a crank at youtube headquarters and give the algorithm the power it needs to play the various videos so i'm going gonna need you to wind that crank but you can't hit the subscribe button before it counts down to zero 59 58 ok that was obviously a joke thanks for the sub. we are going to watch a video, although it would certainly be great to be able to find out the next monster we will face in chapter
three, considering that everyone seems to die at the end of the chapter
, however, the most intriguing part is the underlying story. playtime
co and the experiments they've been running, we get plenty of hints throughout chapter
two that the company was trying to revive dead rats using a gel made from poppy
flowers and that they were now looking, in quotes, for bigger subjects, also known as children. We also saw paperwork where staff members were attacking children's physical abilities to better match them to the appropriate toy. Enter the stage for this newest
chapter
. hanage having an orphanage on site would give them a lot of bigger topics to soak in poppy
gel kids forgotten by a system kids untraceable but then what did they do here that led it to become the hideous monsters we now have I come? to expect from the franchise well i suspect the answer to that question lies in this sneak peek but not in the sneak peek but in the thumbnail you see the thumbnail obviously puts the gas mask front and center as it was from to expect but there's a detail here that's not what's present in the actual video surrounding the whole thing is this red mist it looks cool and it definitely works really well with the gas mask theme but as someone who spends too much time in miniature design meetings I can tell you that this detail is more than just a cool look at the moment this detail is intentional, it reveals much more than anything in the sneak peek itself, it reveals the use of poppy
gas, I mean poppies are red flowers after all so it seems to make sense I think that the poppy
gas I think is probably where they're going with this right is turning the poppy
into a gas which is then turning the immediate children shortly after filming this on gt live i jumped on the computer and started looking for the idea of poppy
gas and you know what i found nothing zilch nothing turns out no one is interested in turning an odorless flower into gas but then i remembered this moment from the early seconds into the game
his hair is strong and doesn't come out when you brush it and it smells like a poppy
flower his hair smells like a poppy
flower but puppies aren't supposed to smell right well they don't unless you're talking about a specific type of poppy
opium poppies this is actually something i casually threw out there in our first theory
about poppy
playtime
side note i researched and it turns out poppies really don't smell that much unless, of course you're talking about opium poppies in which case you're opening a lot or If I was wrong there you see that normal poppies have no smell and don't have much of a narcotic effect because it has n low levels of alkaloids, basically just a natural compound in the opium poppy
plant, although they have higher levels of alkaloids which result in a stronger odor and more physiological effects in humans. What do they do? Look no further than the Wizard of Oz. I can't run anymore. I'm so sleepy. You can't rest. We are almost there. Opium has been used throughout history as a pain reliever and sleep inducer thanks to some of the chemicals it contains, namely morphine and codeine, drugs that you may be familiar with because they are still used today in day as pain relievers, there are now obviously more and more regulations than the use of opioids like these for medical purposes. In fact, my partner Steph in her previous life before YouTube worked to help educate doctors on the medical uses and dangers of opiates and opioids; however, that kind of knowledge did not exist in the early 190 0s and these things were not regulated at all.
Opium was commonly mixed with sugar and water to make syrups, salves, and soups that were then given to children who could not sleep. These balms could be applied to the chest ofwomen to help babies wean faster or they put them on babies' gums to soothe them while they were teething; in fact, they were marketed as pacifiers and could be bought at virtually any grocery store at the time, you know, it was common practice for perfectly normal children to be given highly addictive drugs. at least until the regulations were finally put in place in 1912, but as disturbing as that may be, it actually connects directly to
poppy
playtime
, playtime
, the use of opium poppies, and poppy
hair follows this tendency to subdue children who are in pain or just a little restless using a drug. it also means they were probably able to get around regulations that would suspect a toy company of putting opium in a doll's hair and considering they weren't a medical facility. It was probably even less likely that they would fall for suspicion, but how does all of this relate to our creepy gas mask and the red fumes surrounding the toy? A gas mask to me implies that the gas is covering a large area and that the gas is more concentrated in my research i found this carfentanil a narcotic gas that is in the same category as opiates and opioids that is 10,000 times stronger than morphine which itself is 100 times stronger than opium and carfentanil was used like a gas before in russia in 2002 a group of rebels took an 800 person theater hostage as it seems like i'm already making movie references in today's episode it's basically like this opening scene of tennis after three long days the Russian authorities were suddenly faced with a difficult choice of how to possibly end the confrontation they decided to use a carfentanil based gas to knock out the rebels pe thus allowing the troops to enter the building safely except there was a problem with the plan: carfentanil is too strong again, the stuff is ten thousand times stronger than morphine, sure carfentanil knocked out the insurgents, so the authorities could get in and they also killed 130 of the hostages who are also in the building.
Breathing the gas fills your lungs replacing the oxygen you should be breathing, meaning it's not oxygen entering your bloodstream, but this deadly chemical. eventually causing her body to shut down, which brings us back to
Playtime
Co and their experiments with poppy
flowers and rats. The experiment we read about in chapter
two shows that Elliot and his team killed a rat and dunked it in a poppy
flower gel mix before trying to revive it, the process didn't work, which they thought was due to the size of the rat. test subject, but what if it was more than that? What if part of the problem was that he was just covered in
poppy
? gel mix i mean i could go swimming for hours but i can't say i'm suddenly hydrated the water is only effective once it's inside my body i wonder if that's really what we're looking at here puppy gel not It worked, but what if you suddenly inhale poppy
gas? You would have it in your system immediately as the lungs transfer the gas into the bloodstream if Playtime
Co is trying to activate the elements of the poppy
that is in the body. on the blood that keeps people alive, it seems like that will give you more consistent results when trying to revive someone by turning them into a gas would also make the experimentation process easier. Can you imagine having to dip a child in a gel mix and then having to do it? taking them out before putting the next one in putting a child in a gas filled room however it is a much easier way to do it and much less messy and yes at this point I think I need to make the obvious disclaimer here this it's very dark dark i think we can all very easily see the parallels to the gas chambers of world war 2 but the reason i'm talking about these very disturbing things and these very tragic events is because it seems like this is where there is the
game
With the upcoming third chapter
, this is a toy factory. After all, mass production is the name of the
game
. Around the factory. We see dozens of broken and bloody cat bees. bronze boogie bots and candy cats. long legs or a giant hug these were everyday toys sold to the masses so there are a lot of damn candy cats thrown around the factory and we've seen kids assigned to that specific toy so it stands to reason you need a lot of kids ready to be converted, the gas allows you to gather a large group of kids in a room, drug them all at once, and then go in with your colorful gas mask and take them out, ready for mass production, however I don't think so .They're just shoving the kids into a room to convert them, they're using up the entire nursery and I think that's the case because of the main focus of the trailer, the mask, this gas mask isn't just the same color as the bronze. it is the same color as rea l life gas masks that were created during WWII, while most masks were neutral colors like black, brown, gray or green, those colors made it look gas masks look unattractive and scary, especially to children. or not, he decided to fix the problem by making the mickey mouse mask that had the face of the iconic mouse on it to make it more appealing to children in the uk.
They also have the mickey mouse mask, but nothing seemed to come off. from the old house a mouse instead these masks were bright red and that was just red sometimes they had a fluttering nose to make them look funnier but generally it was about making the colors bright so they make them less scary and remind me again what colors the mask in the trailer if these masks are bright and colorful because they are worn by children all in an effort to make them and the scientists who wear them less scary which of course they have to do so they don't.
Don't get high on the fumes being pumped out in
game
care if these gas masks were only needed while shoving kids into an evidence room to transfer them into a toy then they might have had them as a standard black color no kid would have. be aware enough to see how they are used, it makes much more sense for them to be this color because kids see them used regularly, which you would have to do if the whole play care center was slowly gassing up and then all we're left with is a bunch of screaming kids.Chapter
three of Poppy
Play Time promises to lean heavily on the factory's twisted backstory. this new teaser i think we have an idea now the question is will we be brave enough to go ahead but hey that's just a theory
a game
theory
thanks for watching here's a quick reminder of the new theory
where the merchandise is available right now while my We may not have game

branded gas masks, but we do have change cases, pencil cases, and suitcases, one of those is a lie. The state-of-the-art jersey is green, black and blue throughout. Dear viewer, I understand that you cannot feel this jersey by yourself.Feel-a-vision is not yet something that has been integrated into the YouTube product and to prioritize YouTube shorts first, but if it could. just feel this you too would want to wear it every day like apparently i have every day i've been filming lately and yeah uh that's me over there with a sock on no i won't take any more questions i want something. warmer as we fast approach fall check out the space runner puffer jacket this thing is like wearing a blanket but on trend and cozier and while you're at it why not complete the look with a new backpack? chalk mark says over my head a lot wow i need to say more seriously this thing has loads of space and so many compartments for your research papers your toys the memories of what you did to all those kids a decade ago so if you want to have Get your hands on any of these before they disappear faster than a clerk in an indie horror
