uh foreign so hey nice to see you man nice see you come in change a little bit right ok but i heard german is pretty good right oh yeah great great great flawless best jokes right yeah last name is Fetty , I'm German Tattoo-Lisa, but I speak like that, like that, yeah, I said it The people who, uh, APR or the whole company are really in the middle of nowhere, uh, yeah, it's like a college town, the people who started this went to school here and then never went back so yeah we have people working here basically all around the world and this brand is known around the world and how come that you really stayed here?

I don't mean it badly uh we can get the talent straight from uni Versity is quite big uh I like it. I have family down here. i love the area So to talk about how much do I have to spend on a regular house here, um, now probably isn't a good time because the market has exploded but I'd say maybe like five years ago, yeah, um, 250 would Bringing them in 300,000 or 3,000 square feet and like an acre and that's doubled and I would just say the last three years so you're really right I've sold a lot of houses oh yeah huge houses yeah they are pretty nice down here ok so you see also you've had some success this is from vacuum racing so we've raced in great races hmm and we've raced in pharrell world challenge ian probably actually floated in here he actually drove close by in the 24 Hours of Rolex, we had the R8.

We did that twice, the second time we came second, but yeah, a lot of wins over the years, we did that for years, I think for something like 2008 to about 2013. I think when we stopped racing to drive when they sw it was fun, I mean, back then we could also modify the cars so it wasn't like you just buy the R8 and race it, it's like we take a tram that all of that makes it to their specs and then races with our parts so it was good and that was a lot at that time yeah back then yeah right okay so let's start taking a look and these cars that have been here for a long time we did for SEMA in 2019 I think so okay a full body kit it has a full stage 3 kit on it basically every part we do um if we take the wheels that we're selling right now and we make them super big, uh yeah, Minutes you stuck your phone is there, yeah you get the idea, but they're wide, uh, the whole body kit was kind of like that, uh, race car, but this car was essentially designed for the street, so kind of like Best of both worlds we can bang inside too and the brand is from which year when when did the company start um 1997. so 1997 is when i first really started i would say in the early ones 2000's probably around the time of the 1.8 T 2.70 when these started taking off, that's really when we started taking off exactly and I have to say I really remember that time yes because it was this American brand that you don't get in Germany and and that was it and absolutely, but I knew the logo, I knew the name, I knew what it looked like, but it just hadn't been down here, no, not even below, yes, and in Germany you were very, it was very difficult to get in touch with to get closer to him.

Yes I know this car from the picture A few other tuners, we liked a tuner challenge. I saw you had a boat with you in 2012 2006. Six, yeah, so good, we've done other cars with them since, but that was the start of that era when Volkswagen got really involved with tu ners in the US and they kind of wanted to build the brand and it was wonderfully nice, yeah, in Germany is a bit more difficult to get closer to VW and tuning, how come the Germans don't like us touching the cars that's that's very true i mean it's also difficult really going into the issues i mean that's a bigger one problem in your case it's a big problem for the bmw side surely the bmw ecu's are still pretty much fully locked for the latest generation at the moment, um, except we're shipping it to finland or rushing or whatever, there's a unlocking there , but that's not really something we'll ever do, we're still looking at, um, building our own unlock house that we can actually make it in the US and do a real flash instead of having to ship it to ecu all over the world we have enough resources i saw i saw you looking.
jp performance was geht in alabama zu besuch bei apr teil 1
I saw you looking healthy competition I mean the rumors now by like the M5 getting the car uh yeah next year uh fun to have the RS RS6 and then five cars together a house that has dino duels what say a lot of the diamonds sound really good people say i i know i drive

wise what bmw is doing at the moment it's pretty good. I like it. I like it. I like it They do really great stuff oh they really are this video. So remember, BMV, we lead in here, but they develop everything in-house, yes, as much as we can we do in-house, and then the other stuff, what people don't know is that we own 60 or 70 other brands , so 60 60 so 6-0, we have, um, we have a big electronics company out in Utah and down in Florida that we own, we own AEM, we have like a forged wheels company, but all these different ones, let's tell us like that we don't I don't mean API you mean the mother of the company that owns the US just like that and it's good because we have these extra resources when we need them exactly and the mother company is called exactly Holly. i knew i holly my holly is back from 1940 like 1901 or something yeah i mean holly had the longest history so they called all the brands holly basically okay foreign 360. it's probably a bit more than that, it's a lot, maybe tomorrow, maybe tomorrow even yes, we'll check later, like every month one or two companies are added, so it's consistent, yes, constant tries to exist in March ket yes even take strange understand strange a kid so i would say let's see where the engineers do their magic okay yeah okay cool we can uh go straight into the tech here that's actually split between our guys who work on the hardware and calibrate and reverse engineer that's a 2.7 distributor.
jp performance was geht in alabama zu besuch bei apr teil 1
How cool is that so we actually owned a 3D printer for like 2k when we got that yeah so super old and think what better set you have because yeah that was early yeah yeah so the stuff was totally different too so now you have something like a printer that spits out plastic and the quality is very good yeah and this thing has a big vat of goop and there was no way it was going to shoot a laser in it, yeah so it would like to harden it and it can do all these things really like very high quality things that we could actually do some of the stuff that we could test on the cars there's other ones too but we have that got rid of it and have moved on to some of the other machines that are much faster.

So how many engineers, I mean, working here, doing there, I mean, I'd say there's probably about 30 right here in this building right now, but we also have all these other resources and other buildings. I think about 2,000 employees in total across all brands, but no engineers, no, but uh, it's a nice place to stay here. I would say how many people we have, about 100 people, and about 30 of them are engineers, yes industrial teams, but this is the problem I have been waiting for a long time, yes, take it, okay, this is the Amazonian food in error six yeah so we have the bigger intakes uh they have they make a big difference right oh yeah yeah it's like 40 50 horsepower in stage one and when you start getting in like a bigger car , yeah it takes a lot more because we made that significantly bigger we have adapter rings here so we can fit bigger turbos err thats about 51 bigger than stock we have the err air filters there too and it takes a ton of horsepower up so how much power do you see in the R6?
I don't know if we're going to do a token, no I mean if we're going to do it with with with tov oh yes absolutely yes no I mean the bigger the bigger tools if we make them I am sure we would have it tested that's a very good answer thanks a lot it sounds pretty good so how much power you see I don't know but uh I don't have we don't have one yet Turbo kit made for this car but just stock turbos laughing dude no nothing I give it to the BMW division they are four cylinders I mean they are a four liter pretty fat yeah I know I know and it sounds animal it's an animal yes so this is a stock restriction right this one is pretty tiny and has these little flow restrictors in it that don't really restrict it it's just like trying to make it cleaner ir right right to get the flow nice because foreign i am always i am imm he very straight quite your up for it why does it sometimes take so long for apr to get the parts out when it comes to software i mean the big thing is that how often do people just buy a file off the internet i know and they throw it to the test, and then maybe they change something, and then they charge you how much it is, like a few hundred euros, and you're out there, it's not the same, so let's start over, so let's find all the cards ourselves, we figure out how to get into the ECU ourselves and then we do all the tuning and then I would say sometimes like on a new platform it's going to take six months because we want to learn this car, we want to make sure that everything we do is not risky, we won't damage the car like every single new car we get and I can show you that out there.
We've put sensors all over the place so a lot of the information in the car is just modulated so it thinks it's doing something, but once you start changing everything everything could change so it could get too hot for it could get too much pressure and like we have to make sure that with what we're doing you can take over the car on the track and hit it and you're not going to burn the car down, uh, alien, no, no, that's, uh, that is b9 s4 so this is like a prototype we made for our turbo kit that is coming and uh so this platform will also have a drop in turbo we have it on the dyno right now and how much power, uh i don't know 600 something like that so it depends on the fuel but it should be good and it also says stock exhaust how do you feel about the fact that we have to do so much after you finish your job?
Oh, is that really true, we have to do it here too. All the missionary stuff has come to the United States Come on no yeah so it's coming here now too yeah well I mean it's a big thing in the United States now I'm ean everything we did before like all the tuning in the past like anybody could make any product and put it on the market and it was fine, but um, you know, our EPA and our government agency said like no, so now every single thing we do we have to test it, so just like Lucas does everything, if I do a pipe, if I do a damn pipe, a hose that goes from the intake to the turbo, I have to test it and make sure it doesn't change the emissions It is so cute it's so cute the way you say that cuz you guys did that yeah yeah yeah that's our life on the food side, we've been doing it since the mid 90's pretty much at this point yeah cuz i mean we California has had stricter ones for a long time Emissions, so let's do this a little longer with emissions.
I mean it's a little more stout now that's for sure but I mean we've been doing this line for over 20 years now we're standing right here

Alabama

yeah a cop stop you in Alaba Ma he's into this one Stuff oh my god when they stop us they just like man what you got under the hood yeah that's what I was thinking yeah they wanna know they wanna know so we got the same thing In Florida, these cops are different. I know it's different again in California. yeah maybe not it depends on where in california i mean california has very different places i mean if you are in central valley or something that might as well be the wild west and ranch ranch country and everything else well I mean it's more like here, well just I can't imagine if you have a lot of exhaust that he would say that's too loud, no, no, I've got that here
