The Youtube issues get worse

I wanted to make another video on this topic because some things have changed behind the scenes since the last time and I've met with my YouTube rep in the meantime to talk about some of the

issues

I raised in my video and to talk generally about feedback on YouTube and various other things that have been going on because the whole internet seems to be rallying against YouTube on their own platform for the past week because of all the videos that have come out and become It's kind of a trend to talk about it and get your grievances out of the way, which I think is great.

I think that's how changes are made, because otherwise they kind of get lost and then nobody talks about it like we do. You see, a lot of these

issues

, they develop very quickly and then die away very quickly, so I wanted to push a bit, but also explaining some context for some things that have happened since then because we did the VI deos originally because of corey's video and i wanted to make sure his message is heard and also address some other

issues

i think

youtube

has and to give some sort of feedback on this, um and since then mark has uploaded a video called trying not to get an age restricted challenge which was a game he picked up about months ago but now just so happened to fit right into the things that came before went, so it was very, uh, it was perfect timing for that, uh, and then I had an eye tracker video that I wanted to pull out and tried for a while to get a green cap which turned out to be a nuisance which i knew was uh but i made this video back then too and also called it to try not to get an age restriction challenge, just to bang a few buttons and kind of hornet's nest and test the systems in a way, um and I'll say since the video came up, um, okay, I'm going to give context to the video because I did it.
the youtube issues get worse
Not the last but in case you don't know I recorded the eye tracker video obviously with the intention of pushing the boundaries of what the system would allow, that wasn't the whole point of the video. I just wanted to see what I can do and then do it. It's a funny video and it kind of responds to the lewd stuff in it and makes it entertaining that way, but we had to censor it so much because it kept saying it was reported and wasn't suitable for advertisers, and I thought you know what that's totally fair, there's a lot like nudity in there.

I had to censor a lot of it, a lot of it is still implied, um, so there was a lot of stuff in it that I knew I was even willing to bite the point on and say, okay, maybe we'll just load this video up and not letting it monetize and it's just going to be a fun video for people to watch but we kept trying anyway and then one day Trey was working on an edit of trying to get more sensors in to see what he and I could get away with It was just like you know what first made me appeal and when I appealed two days went by and I came back and it said money checked manually was and was given the green light so it got the green icon instead the yellow means it's advertiser eligible and I was like ok great it seems like the system has some things of its own automatically flagged it and triggered the yellow icon and then someone checked it manually, supposedly a human on YouTube and said yes there are enough sensors in you can get away with it and then it got the green light and then I uploaded the video and called it to try not to get an age restricted challenge, it hasn't been age restricted since then but it was flagged again which is part of the problem i said and i knew when uploading it was a potential that would happen and that was kind of why after that objection I re-uploaded it anyway and didn't try further to censor it because I thought let's just see if my theory holds up someone at YouTube can green it Got lighted and later re-tagged and I brought this up to my representative yesterday because of this inconsistency and saying it's good that someone e s checked and now it says someone checked it manually I checked it again and it was deemed unusable for

youtube

and I was like why is that such a thing and obviously he doesn't have all the answers either , um, and I absolutely love my YouTube rep, he's always fighting in our corner trying his best for creators, so I don't want anyone out there on YouTube ever to get mad at him, um, but some do of the stuff obviously can't be told to me because you can't give them the keys to the kingdom I also don't 100 know how the algorithm works and what it is you know what it hunts and all and it's pretty good that people don't know that because then you can just play the system way too easily and that brings a whole mess of problems as well as and I think which ones I mentioned in the last video that users videos mar that can be very easily misused.
the youtube issues get worse
I said it before that the corridor digital channel was hacked and then mass was reported as hacked because the audience wanted

youtube

to know hey it's hacked can you? give it back to them but what happens then is the system is like oh it's mass reported something is going on removed the whole channel and I was wondering how abusive that could be and another good example of this is Evelyn the mortician uploaded it. It got flagged for the self harm topics it contained, as did I, um, but after that I think because users flagged videos a lot, she got emails from YouTube the question: are you okay, are you hurting yourself?

If you're suicidal it's hard to know exactly what's going on behind the scenes and why these things are happening, but the fact of the matter is what I'm trying to boil that down to excuse me for getting so wild your thoughts are everywhere, which i'm trying to get to the point i don't like the fact that i can upload something that gets yellow flagged, that was totally fine, that was fair, i understood that someone on

youtube

then green flagged it Light gets after I appealed and I'm like oh someone checked it manually great umm that means it's safe every once in a while and then I upload it and then it gets reported again so have either People reported the video and then it got attention and then YouTube went in and manually checked it again and someone with stricter protocols came in and said it wasn't actually necessary which means two per People in that department didn't talk to each other if it was two separate people, or it was the same person again, and they got flack for tagging users in and then they were like, oh crap, I really need to do that again report, it just doesn't make sense to me that there's a whole mess of hierarchy and communication and everything that's going on in this chain of command that just doesn't work.
the youtube issues get worse
It doesn't make sense and it seems the problem with YouTube in general is that the policy team doesn't talk to the marketing team, not the reps, like there are so many different departments at work because it's a huge machine of one Industry they do and I understand that too but there needs to be more communication on their side so we can have better communication if you don't talk to each other at source how the hell are we supposed to know what the hell it's about to give another example of this um and mark i'm so sorry to keep dragging you into this but recently something else happened to him that they had the game on event that we were all part of um and i liked a minecraft section mark made his own analog horror thing that he wanted to put in and it was like a live stream where people could vote on decisions and it was as pre-taped but you effectively got the options of where it would go and we recorded like a whole bunch of di different versions of it to make it a more interactive live stream and it was, it was on um it could use some work it wasn't perfect but for what it was it was pretty funny but they marketed it like Mark was in it, um When I was in LA I spoke to America about his idea and what he was doing, and he was working on it while I was there, um, and it sounded really cool, and then the thing came out, Mark tweeted that there's a game going on because I've reacted to it on YouTube and said : "Yes everyone looks at the stream and the links to it and then his section came up there was a minute long section where he paused and then the rest was removed, he had a whole thing planned, that everything was removed from the stream and he didn't know about it, until the stream ended and then he tweeted about how it was like they cut my section, um, and I mean I don't know exactly why it got cut, a lot of people think it got cut 'cause he did the age restricted challenges ge video that day and then that night they cut the content that's not true they didn't cut it because of that.
Um, I've been working with YouTube for a long time, they don't work that fast he said they cut it down due to time constraints or something. I don't know, that's his business to discuss. All I know is that it wasn't cut because he says something against her. I mean I critique them in a video before that too and did an age restricted challenge video, they should have trimmed my section as well as I know I was there with a whole bunch of other people but that theory just doesn't make sense and what he did was to upset people and make them even more angry at YouTube for saying they were going to censor him and I feel like that kind of mentality pulls us away from the main

issues

that Corey or I or Charlie or anyone else has approached during this time and i really want to give real feedback and criticism and possible solutions on things instead of just getting angry and yelling at people and not being like

youtube

shit because i mean they don't want their creators surprisingly fail, er, despite what people might think they actually want the platform to be successful and for us to make a living When it comes to this and for our videos to do well, it's just a big system that people don't talk to each other, and that's why I'm bringing it up because I feel like the people who replied to America on Twitter didn't know his Section got caught as well as Mark hasn't, and I feel like the people that market the whole event event and use it in the articles and use it in like the video, the trailer they put up and his face all over the place use where i wear it i don't think they knew it was trimmed, um, it's still in a very small section, um, but its main section was cut out entirely, um, and I think that boils down to that also a lot of departments don't talk to each other umm that just sucks because what do we suppose d do when YouTube doesn't know what they're doing umm and so I'm trying to talk about that to shed some lightto be like you have to be better, so we can do what we do and not be left to a system so inconsistent, so unpredictable and so just beyond our control that it just makes us want none Uploading content or being very very scared of the kind of things we can upload because it's all so vague that I don't have all the answers either, to some people that's just going to sound like a complaint but I really just want to see changes on the platform where everyone is treated fairly where some people just haven't gotten like americanized videos uh age restricted but ethan uploaded a video for his 10th anniversary and it has an age restriction uh i dunno exactly what was in it, um and I, I haven't had a chance to talk to him about it yet, but I'm guessing there's probably not much in it that should have an age restriction ed er m, it just feels like some people are treated differently than others, which of course shouldn't be a thing, we should all be treated fairly across the platform, because how about otherwise I've done stuff with YouTube I've been a big YouTuber in the past, if I'm treated more fairly than other people, everyone looks bad, it just makes the system look completely unfair, and that
